Lesson

Practicing mindfulness means we accept the present moment for what it is. Because it’s what IS.

Instead of denying the present moment, or fighting it, or judging it, or disliking it, we can let it be. Instead of wishing it would go away, or wishing it would never end, we can let it be.

We can sit with our discomfort — because it’s already here — or we can waste vital energy fighting it.

We can sit with our joy — because it’s here — or we can waste vital energy fearing it will go away.

My Quote

Allowing the present moment to be what it is doesn’t mean we passively accept things that create suffering.

We can still have goals and dreams and aspirations. We can still have plans to change the world. But the only way we will achieve them is through acknowledging what is in this moment, and through what we do in this next moment.

Our awareness of things … changes things!

Your Mindful Move

Let it be.

It’s as simple (and as challenging!) as that.
